Who has not dreamed of flying underwater? A Discover Scuba Diving Program will allow you to experience this incredible sensation of weightlessness in a luxurious setting surrounded by the impressive marine flora and fauna that the oceans are home to.
Every year more people come to try the Discover Scuba Diving experience at Caño Island with us during their trip to Costa Rica. They usually want to try if they like it and although they are sometimes afraid, they get over it quickly. Breathing underwater is strange the first time, but the activity is quite simple and everyone ends up adapting little by little, until finally the initial stress gives way to bewilderment about the wonderful new world they are entering.
The Discover Scuba Diving program takes place in a single morning on Caño Island and there is no need to complete a full course. It is a first contact with diving, with the equipment, the key that opens you the door to the depths. You can do it safely, without risk, in the company of your partner, friends or family and always under the direct supervision of one of our expert PADI instructors.
Choose to do your Discover Scuba Diving with CRAD and in addition to a simple and fun experience, it will become one of the best memories of your trip in Costa Rica, you will not forget it.
To dive for the first time, you only need to remember four things:
- Never stop breathing and always do it slowly and deeply.
- Learn to compensate for the pressure of the ears, one of the most frequent and important habits that must be acquired for a diving baptism.
- Learn basic hand signals in order to communicate underwater.
- Know how to empty the mask under water.
Everything else will be controlled by the instructor who accompanies you. You just have to let yourself go, trust your instructor and open your eyes wide to enjoy the environment and her life.
Your underwater adventure at Caño Island will consist of 2 dives to a maximum depth of 6 meters, one for exercises and another for a walk and always under the watchful eye of your instructor who will be with you at all times.
Be careful as many of you are going to love your Discover Scuba Diving experience and you will discover a new world, but also a new field of possibilities that will probably not allow you to think of anything else than dive again.
